I’ve been a designer/director of CG and multi-medium animation since the mid-1980’s, when I was hired out of CalArts to work for the powerhouse Robert Abel & Associates. It didn't get better than that; they were at the top (Google them). There, we got to learn and use every media technique, old or new, to create mind blowing imagery. That pioneering spirit has kept me seeking out more effective ways to entertain and inspire, carving new pathways. The toys are constantly evolving and that just makes things better.

Teaching is simply amazing. Along with working in movies, tv, commercials, themed entertainment and games, I’ve been a digital media professor at Otis College of Art and Design for the last 7 years. With an emphasis on ideas first, then tools, whether VR, AR or any other mutating media, I’m working to prepare students with a skillset relevant to the future of entertainment. Motivating and inspiring!
